​About the Speaker:

Crista Burson is the President & CEO of the Alaska Society of CPAs (AKCPA), the professional association for over 600 CPAs and accounting professionals in Alaska. Prior to the AKCPA, Crista worked for ten years in Employee Benefits / Retirement Plan Administration and fifteen years in Non-Profit Administration. She has a B.S. in Accounting with a minor in Art from Birmingham-Southern College. Crista is an active volunteer and currently serves on the CPA/SEA (State Executives Association) Board of Directors as well as the AICPA Interchange Conference Executive Planning Committee.

Crista lives in Anchorage with her husband, Mark, their son, Carter and Jack Russell terrier, Jyll. She used to enjoy travel to exotic locations other than Los Living Room or Puerto Backyarda. Current trip plans include only multiple daily Zoom meetings.
